Bling Socializes Purchases and Wish Lists [Webapps]

Bling Socializes Purchases and Wish ListsWebapp Bling.io is kind of a cross between Pinterest and an Amazon wish list?you can list items you purchased or have put on a wishlist and any of the people you're connected to can also see these items. These items can run the gamut from electronics to clothing to photography equipment.

Bling is just getting started; there looks to be maybe 100 users and the library of items isn't very deep yet, but it's pretty easy to add items to the database. While I can't see this site becoming the next big social media trend, I can see it steadily growing and being acquired down the road by Amazon, Google, or Facebook.

You can create an account by linking to your Facebook or Twitter account as well as using your email address; since I create accounts at a lot of startups I prefer to not automatically link webapps to Facebook or Twitter until I have time to get a feel for them.

All in all Bling is a fun way to share wishlists and stuff you've purchased with people who are also interested in such things. The one fault of the site is that there's no way for people to directly purchase an item from your wishlist. The site is a bit sparse right now, but there's enough there that I think they'll grow nicely. Feel free to friend me there if you like.
