Funnyman Russell Brand is bringing his comedic talents to late night television. Could it be that he is attempting to give some current late night hosts a run for their money? I sure the heck hope so cause right now late night TV is BORING. FX and Brand have inked a deal that will have him making his late night television host debut in 2012. The actor will have six half-hour shows that are being called ?special?s? in the spring and that could just be the beginning. Don?t expect the new show to be another Leno or Letterman type show. Nope it will feature Russell not only performing in front of an audience but interacting with them as well and have an unfiltered take on current events, politics and pop culture. Even though details of the show are a little vague at this time one thing is for sure, this is not going to be a talk show. In fact word on the street is that the format for show is still up in the air. Interesting, it sounds to be more like a standup comedy gig to me and if that is the case he is the perfect guy. [...]
