According to recent studies eczema has been linked to a weak immune system. Eczema is not only unpleasant or debilitating but it is painful too. There is no quick magical remedy to cure this problem but lifestyle changes along with some simple home remedies can really make a difference in your life.
Top Home Remedies For Eczema
Sugar-oil Scrub
This scrub can be used daily to scrub the eczema-affected parts. Sugar-oil scrub has shown good results on people suffering with eczema. You can prepare this mix and store it in airtight containers for future use. Mix 1 cup of light oil (olive oil or grape seed oil) and 2 cups of granulated sugar, you may also add a few drops of any essential oil.
Fold it in and rub this on the affected areas.. Scrub both hands thoroughly and then wash off. This will treat the eczema naturally by reducing the flakiness and dryness of the skin.
Oatmeal Soak
In a large bowl, pour some luke-warm water. To the water, add 8 tablespoons of colloidal oatmeal. To make colloidal oatmeal at home you can just use a grinder to ground normal oatmeal into fine powder.
Soak your body or the effected regions (hands, feet etc) in this for 15 minutes and then wash off. This treatment helps to alleviate itching and can be done every day.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel is really effective against most types of skin conditions. It reduces inflammation, itching and helps the wounds to recover. Snip off a stem from a aloe vera plant and extract the fresh and pure aloe pulp. Apply this on the affected areas and let it dry. Ensure that you apply them in-between the fingers of the hands and feet as well. Wash off with water. You must do this every day to get good results.
Cold Milk
Whenever you feel desire to itch the affected regions, control yourself because you?ll only worsen he condition. Get a cloth and put it in some cold milk.
Let the cloth soak up a bit of the milk and then put this cloth on top the itchy part. You?ll notice that the itchiness vanishes almost immediately.

Cucumber
If you?re suffering from peeling of the skin due to extreme dryness, cucumber can help you! Grate some cucumber and put it on your hands. Let the cucumber work on your skin for at least 15 minutes before washing it off. Cucumber deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin. Do this 3 times a week.
Manuka Honey
Manuka honey is one of best ingredients to battle the ?eczema terror. Manuka honey is an active form of honey found in New Zealand. When taken internally, Manuka honey strengthens the immune system. To treat eczema you?ll need to apply it directly on the skin.
It is stickier than the commercial honey that we normally use, so I would suggest you wrap a cling film around the hands to prevent it from sticking anywhere. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash off thoroughly. It takes at least a month of regular usage to actually see some results but you?ll get it for sure (trust me on that!).
